Slight decline anticipated in China’s October HRC output

In October this year, the anticipated aggregate hot rolled coil (HRC) output of 40 major large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China is 9,719,500 mt, down 0.33 percent or 32,500 mt compared to the September output figure, according to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).  

Meanwhile, the overall hot rolled coil export volume in October of 17 major exporters in China is expected to total 508,000 mt, down 3,000 mt month on month.   During late August and early September, foreign buyers stepped up their steel purchases from China at a time when Chinese steel prices were very low.
